1. 2012 Ranch Rodeo Finals TOP 3 invited to Champions Challenge in Houston

As Ranch Rodeo grows in popularity, so do the opportunities that surround the sport.

The inaugural Champions Challenge is a brand new event inviting the Top 3 teams from the San Antonio Ranch Rodeo Finals to compete for a $20,000 purse + prizes.

The Champions Challenge is hosted in Houston, Texas where our finest from San Antonio will go head to head with the Top 3 teams from the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo as well as the Top 3 teams from the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. Only 9 teams are invited. Be there March 10 to support our boys from San Antonio!

2. Ads Available in Official Ranch Rodeo Finals Program for only $150

It's Official: There will be a program for the 2012 San Antonio Ranch Rodeo Finals. AND - ad prices start at only $150!

There are still 6 events for the 2012 San Antonio Ranch Rodeo Finals. However, Double Mugging will take the place of Steer Tying.

2. It's About Damn Time. . . The Rise Of The Sport Of Ranch Rodeo

Pardon our 'French', but we're excited about the real working cowboy finally getting some well deserved credit. Ranch Rodeo has been around for many, many years. In fact, the sport of rodeo we all know and love, which culminates at the Thomas and Mack Center every year in Las Vegas, was built upon the foundation that is Ranch Rodeo.

In addition to the Ranch Rodeo Finals being hosted by the San Antonio Stock Show, Ranch Rodeo's popularity in South Texas is due in part to the success of the circuit leading up to the Finals. The circuit leading up to the Ranch Rodeo Finals in San Antonio has evolved into a full-blown association. The South Texas Ranch Rodeo Association successfully hosted their first Year-End Finals this year. Congratulations guys!

South Texas is not the only place where Ranch Rodeo has gained traction - far from it. Some of the more prolific ranch rodeo events include the Western Heritage Classic Ranch Rodeo in Abilene, TX - The Resistol All Around Ranch Rodeo Challenge in Clovis, NM - The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's Ranch Rodeo - Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo's Best of the West Ranch Rodeo - The Working Ranch Cowboys Association World Championship Ranch Rodeo in Amarillo, TX - and the newly formed South Texas Ranch Rodeo Association.

San Antonio Ranch Rodeo is no different. We're growing and we're happy to have some of the most engaged and enthusiastic fans in the sport. This year those fans will enjoy a new opener - the short-round of the richest Steer Roping in the PRCA. Immediately following the Steer Roping Finals will be the 2011 San Antonio Ranch Rodeo Finals. Our growth has done more than allow us to add value to our show. The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo has committed to adding more money to the 2011 Ranch Rodeo Finals and we have developed a couple of new ways to make sure everyone is on the same page. After all, communication is key.

Before getting into how we can all stay on the same page, we have a quick announcement. We are eager to pass along the South Texas Ranch Rodeo name and follow the progress of a new association. The movement in South Texas to support the sport of Ranch Rodeo is very exciting and we're proud that they've chosen to be the South Texas Ranch Rodeo Association.

However, this means that we had some changes to make. The rise of the STRRA, growing popularity of the Ranch Rodeo Finals, and new developments within the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo have led us to become the San Antonio Ranch Rodeo Finals. We're excited about the new direction and invite you to join us in the adventure.

The STRRF.com Web site and info@strrf.com email will continue to function throughout the 2011 San Antonio Ranch Rodeo Finals. Following the 2011 performance, these will be gradually decommissioned.

Ranch Rodeo Contestant's
The 2010 Finals ushered in what we called the Contestant's Forum. Representatives from South Texas Ranch Rodeo teams were invited to participate in an open round-table discussion about the Ranch Rodeo Finals, the Circuit and the future of the sport of ranch rodeo.

Now, the Contestant's Forum is year round - and at your convenience. All you have to do is request an account and join the conversation. Don't worry. It's all FREE.

Ranch Rodeo Fans
The San Antonio Ranch Rodeo Finals sells out faster every year. Contestants Forum

Ranch Rodeo is getting very popular... very fast. Following Keith Martin's lead, we began covering the $1,000 per team entry fees last year with "No More Pay To Play". This year, we have included $5,000 Added Money in addition to that. In order to continue improving everyone's experience with Ranch Rodeo, we are inviting you to the first annual contestant's forum.

What is the Contestant's Forum?
It's a contestant's only meeting. We have heard many ideas throughout the year and in order for us to continue improving STRRF, we need to know what you think.

When is it?
January 23, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Where is it?
Committeemen's Room - Enter Gate A and take your first right.

Who can attend the forum?
Contestants Only. Two (2) members of any team that has competed in at least two circuit ranch rodeos this year.

There will be food and beverages. Also, please submit your team name and the names of the 2 attending members to info@strrf.com. We will need them in order for security to allow you on the grounds.

Round Up

Yes, Round Up is the same day as the Contestant's Forum. We will break from the Contestant's Forum early enough to go get settled in and ready for the party.

Reminder: Round Up is January 23, 2010 at 7:00 pm.

With two rodeos left, the sixth and seventh place teams are separated by 1.5 points. Solomon Cattle Company has won 15.5 points while Y Bar Ranch earned 14 points. Remember that there are still two ranch rodeos on the circuit:

• Ropin' Dreams Foundation Ranch Rodeo : November 14, 2009

Tickets are only $5.00! We are excited to announce that the 2010 South Texas Ranch Rodeo Finals is a ticketed event. Both of the previous STRRF events have been standing room only. Many families were unable to see their Dad, brother, friend, etc. because of the extreme popularity of this event.

That's why you are getting first shot at tickets. We have not been able to guarantee you a seat at the finals until this year.

Round Up Entertainment Announced

Max Stalling will be headlining the 2010 Round Up set for January 23, 2010 at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. Round Up will be in the Lonestar Ballroom from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Tables are limited, but some are still available. Partnership tables ($1500) also include 10 tickets to the South Texas Ranch Rodeo Finals.
